A little more than a month ago, FiledBy, a digital marketing company for the publishing industry, was launched. They provide Web-based tools to empower authors, writers, illustrators, photographers, and other content creators. The FiledBy platform enables these professionals to easily build an online community where they can promote their work and interact with their fans and peers.
Co-founders Mike Shatzkin and Peter Clifton have worked in the publishing industry for many years. With FiledBy, they set out to create a new way for authors to take advantage of the changing climate of the publishing world, now and into the future.
The goal is to help more readers discover authors and purchase their works by building FiledBy and openly linking to other online communities, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace, or an author’s Web site or blog.
